Biography of Olivier Baudry
Olivier Baudry was born in 1979 in France. In 2002 he entered the Ecole Supérieure des Beaux Arts where he obtained National Diploma in Arts and Technology, Higher National Diploma in Design. He studied electroacoustic composition at the ArtZoyd's Studios with André Serre-Milan and Carl Faia. After his research led him to the laboratory of UMR Map Gamsau where he obtained an Dpea Digital Culture and Cultural Heritage. With this experience the urge is especially strong to make the correlation between architecture and sound. Parallel to these research projects, he continues to develop he worked as a computer music designer to design musical spaces as specific software for musicians. He has been awarded several research and artistic grants for the creation of interactive prototypes and artworks. As a researcher at the laboratory, he assists many young artists in the production of interactive, generative, and sounds installations. He explores the evolution of artistic creation in relationship to the digital arts. He composes music for concert, film, video, dance, theatre and sound installation and he developed real-time software tools for processing and spatialization of sounds and multimedia interaction.
